Since 1985, Dance Centre school of performing artsapproved and licensed by the Royal Thai Government Ministry of Education has established itself as Thailand’s premiere ballet and contemporary dance academy.
Its teachers are qualified professionals who are working performers. Dance Centre teaches various dance/movement of various styles such as classical ballet based on British and Russian styles, jazz, contemporary dance, creative dance, hip-hop, street dance, latin, ballroom, and rhythmic gymnastics. The school also provides access to a full range of mind/body development courses for both children and adults ranging from Hatha Yoga, Chi Kung and Tai Chi Ch’uan.
Dance Centre school of performing artscaters to the needs of different groups from the very young, through to professional dancers, adult beginners, teenagers and executives. There are a variety of courses to select from at the school to suit particular individual interests and needs. We encourage all students to enroll and make a commitment on a course basis or longer, and practice. The rewards of completing a courses include both physical and mental improvement. The Dance Centre maintains close affiliations with prestigious cultural organizations worldwide and offers bursaries every year in partnership with the UNESCO-ASHBERG fund and AsiaLink.
ประวัติความเป็นมา
สถาบัน แด๊นซ์ เซ็นเตอร์รับรองโดยกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ ก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2528 โดยวรารมย์ ปัจฉิมสวัสดิ์ ภายหลังจากจบการศึกษาจากสถาบัน The Royal Ballet School กรุงลอนดอน ประเทศอังกฤษ และเธอยังเป็นนักเต้นคนแรกของประเทศไทยที่ได้เป็นนักเต้นอาชีพร่วมกับคณะบัลเล่ต์ในต่างประเทศ
สถาบันแด๊นซ์ เซ็นเตอร์ถือได้ว่าเป็นสถาบันสอนศิลปการแสดงชั้นนำของประเทศไทย สถาบันหนึ่งโดยในหลักสูตรการเรียนการสอน ได้รวบรวมหลักสูตรศิลปะการแสดงอาทิเช่น classical ballet , contemporary dance , jazz , ballroom , Latin-American Salsa dance อีกทั้งยังได้เพิ่มหลักสูตร mind and body อาทิเช่น ไทชิ โยคะ และ meditation in motion เข้าเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของหลักสูตรการเรียนการสอนของสถาบัน ด้วยวัตถุประสงค์หลักของสถาบันนั้นคือเป็นสถาบัน ที่อุทิศตนเพื่อการศึกษาศิลปการแสดง
สถาบันแด๊นซ์ เซ็นเตอร์ยังได้มีการติดต่อกับสถาบันวัฒนธรรมต่างๆ ในนานาชาติและให้ทุนด้านศิลปะ การแสดงร่วมกับองค์กรอาทิ UNESCO-ASHBERG fund และ AsiaLink และมีการจัดทำโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนนักเรียนในช่วงปิดเทอม กับสถาบันในตางประเทศ
สถาบันแด๊นซ์ เซ็นเตอรได้ส่งเสริมนักเรียนของสถาบันตั้งแต่เยาว์วัยในด้านการแสดงโดยการจัดการแสดงในระดับอาชีพ ซึ่งมีรายละเอียดดังนี้
